Things about Dubai

Hello people. Its been long since I last posted. Been a tough week or so, trying to get many things sorted in general. Today I am in a mood to have fun and write a few things (which I am not sure if everyone will find it funny!) on Dubai. It will be in a list format. Since this is an original list, if anyone is copying it or emailing it, they have to put a reference to this site. Violators will be punished! LOL!

1) Normally, if the boss and his Personal Assistant are going in a car, it is the Assistants role to drive the car and the boss should sit on the side and relax. But Dubai is a place where you will see the Assistant relaxing on the side and the boss driving the car. Normally, Locals have South Indian Assistants to loot them, and you will see this case with them. The main Question: Who is the Boss and the Driver?

3) The Taxi Drivers are all racing champions. They do everything illegal when they are driving just to get that extra money. And if you honk at them, they will abuse you as if it is your fault. The cars they normally drive are Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima, Ford Mondeo, and Chevrolet Epica. But the way they drive, it seems like they are driving a Ferrari. They need a huge reality check, and since they are the ones who are serving the Tourists, what impression will the tourists have of Dubai? When they go back, all they can say is, The Taxi Drivers only can abuse, be rude, and not stop until and unless it is a long way to go.

2) People are always confused on who their landlords are. Is it the Arab local, or is it the South Indian he has hired? The South Indian will behave as if he actually owns the building. One excellent way is, they will ask you to behave decently in the building. Whereas they will wear ‘lungi’ in the lobby with their friends, and scratch their own balls and their friends balls in front of everyone, and fart. This is civilised behavior for them. But if your friend is entering the building without using the intercom, that is uncivilised and you will be penalised for it. Just because you are not malbari. LOL! They really live in their own world, and made a fool of the local population in Dubai.

3) There are two telecom operators here and the older one is Etisalat. And Etisalat owns 25% of the other telecom operator that is Du. Is there even a competition or is it a new company trying to fool people and earning more.

I will keep updating the list but if you can add more, please feel free to do so in the comments section.
