Hellboy II, The Golden Army
So, went to see Hellboy 2 this last weekend. Seriously, when you go to see a movie like this, you know you are not going to be going to see some epic life changing film. You are most likely going to it because you want to be amused. You don’t expect the movie to be perfect, you know it won’t be, that’s ok.
I enjoy movies like this one, because they are so far fetched that they are just fun to watch. So what’s it about? Did you see the first Hellboy movie? If you didn’t…you should, good thing is that they give you a quicky reminder of who Hellboy is and how he came to live with the humans, etc. I’m not going to give anything away don’t worry….
Personally I like Abe, cute little fishy guy. lol…. my favorite scene of the movie that’s easy… Abe and Hellboy are in the ‘library’ talking about women. Hellboy hands Abe a beer….Abe says something to the effect of… “I can’t drink that! My body is a temple!”…Hellboy’s reply “No it’s not, it’s an amusement ride”…..I laughed so hard. OH…what makes this part of the movie even MORE hillarious? They are singing “I can’t smile without you” by Barry Manilow. If nothing else, that part of the movie was worth the ticket price to me. Something about seeing this big red guy with shaved off horns who looks like he should be one evil mean S.O.B. singing a Barry Manilow song….along with his fishy friend…..seriously, I was smiling after that part….didn’t matter what else happened.
Oh yeah, you’ll think twice about the damn tooth fairy! lol….
So there is my really lame review of this movie….now go see the movie!!!!
