Some things you just can’t understand…
Some things in the world, never make sense to me. one of these things, are Dubai drivers.
Now before you man your cannon’s people, hear me out.
why does it feel like all the drivers in Dubai are in such a hurry to get somewhere? well, i guess that could be true practically anywhere, but Dubai prides itself in behind a modern city, continuously leading the world in new architecture and technological advances. I mean, we’re going to have rotating buildings for crying out loud. All this just suggests that Dubai’s populace should also be incredibly intelligent and mindful. A closer look, especially in the drivers of Dubai, reveals the not so pleasant truth.
For example, I was driving today, and it was a two lane road. I was on the left lane. A bus stopped on the right lane, and this car that got stuck behind the bus wanted to cut into my lane. However, I was already next to the car, so an intelligent person would have just let me go, and then cut in behind me. But nope, this guy wanted to get in front of me, so he starts cutting into my lane….and then he honks at me, because I couldn’t really do much so I kept going in my lane. He ended up behind me, kept honking at me, and flashing his headlights at me, and trying to constantly overtake me on a two-way road, almost hitting my car. Eventually I just let him pass. Is this really the state of drivers in Dubai?
I just don’t understand why he felt he could get to wherever he was going much faster if he was in front of me. Did he think harassing me with his cars horn and headlights was going to produce a magic portal by which the road in front of him is cleared of all cars? I guess I’ll never understand that. Do you?
