Interim Indian Budget – 2009
I am not planning to get into politics but I would like to talk about the ‘cheap’ politicians of India. The total budget for the year is a huge amount above $100 billion. But still half or more than half of India is below poverty line. The budget is allocated for agriculture, clean water, education, and alot more amazing facilities which look good in dreams. In reality, all this money will go to the Swiss accounts of the politicians. How can I claim that? Its simple. The amount of money declared for clean water is 7.5K crores, which is a huge sum. But still the tap water in India is equal to acid. with that much money, atleast 100 plants can be set up around India. There are 28 states in India and 7 Union Territories. If even 2 clean water plants are set in each state every year, by now the rivers would be filled with mineral water and the tap water would actually be safe to drink. Similarly it is for schools. The Budget has set a huge amount to build new schools. More than half of the population in India is illiterate. If they build 20 schools per State, they will still have excess of budget. But then why would they do that? Instead they would send their sons and daughters abroad, get them a mansion out there, with atleast 5 exotic cars like Lamborghinis, Bentleys, etc, and a monthly expenditure of $50K. The remaining balance will ofcourse be sent to Switzerland. Why is all this happening? During the parliament session, the people sitting around are old and about to die any moment. They are least interested in the Budget. The only thing they are interested in is the money they are allocated. Why is it that still they are the ministers of India and people who take care of India? It is a shame when they are seen outside, because on one side we see Ministers, Presidents and Prime Ministers of other countries like China, Japan, Malaysia, America, Canada, etc who have a dynamic personality, and know English fluently. They also have respect for their country and will do anything for it to prosper. Even though there is corruption, but the level is so minimal, that it is not visible. But on the other hand, the personality of the Indian ministers is like as if they were beggars before and now reached that state. They are bringing the image of India down. Maybe me alone cannot do anything, but then people on the whole should do something about the situation. Another excellent example is the budget for defence. It is a whopping $60K crores. That can actually buy a small country and could be the GDP of small countries. But after so much spending, 8-25 terrorists aged between 25-40 actually got in the financial center of India, and actually held one of the most prestigious hotels for 60 hours approximately. Where is all the defense budget money going? All the old hag politicians will be listening at the budget, and then in the night go to a Dance Bar, drink till they drop, and then get up again in one hour so that they can screw girls around age 21. They have no shame and because of them India is suffering. But together, people can make a difference. And that can only happen if people unite together and make it a point to throw these cheap politicians out of their position and make sure no body ever thinks of spoiling the name and image of India.
