Crude Oil

September 10th, 2008 / No Comments » / by nastyrunner

The prices of crude oil have been fluctuating for quite sometime, and I don’t understand the reason behind it. There are several reasons reported by different news agencies, but there is no definite answer to it. The prices have risen from $25 a barrel in 1997, and went to a record high of $140+ in 2007. Would this be considered as speculation? I am going to provide my opinion on this whole issue. The prices rising up so much has caused a lot of changes to economies of the world. Moreover, if Iraq was conquered and their oil fields were put in use, I feel, this should have brought the oil prices low. But instead increased them. Moreover, there was an article in the newspaper which states that 30% increase in oil prices are due to the falling dollar (Link to the article). This brings about another topic of why the dollar is falling? Well, because of the amount of money borrowed to conquer Iraq, maybe the dollar weakened. But there are other people stating that it could be because of America buying more stuff from other countries, and exporting comparatively way less. (Link to the Article). My personal belief is, if I invade Iraq, and I use money to invade it, and then I retrieve oil from it, then it should break even, and not cause so much of panic. The reason I am taking a topic into consideration because I live in Dubai and the dollar is pegged to the local currency. Therefore, all these situations have caused major changes to Dubai. I personally would like to hear everyone’s comments on what they feel could be the reason for such a major change in the crude oil price, and also, how is it being controlled? I mean, is it a group of people, or is it like by one person. Because according to OPEC, the oil production was never reduced, and the world population cannot double in just a span of two years. According to this article (Link to the article) it is not the falling dollar, but other reasons like the OPEC is not ready to increase output. It is a confusing state, and I will try and find out more about the whole situation. But currently, the oil price is $102.22 on September 10, 2008. I wish, it would return to a regular of $60 a barrel, where everything is normally priced, and it doesn’t affect the poor. After all, the rich is getting richer and the poor is getting poorer in this whole speculation.

Review – Namepros.com

September 3rd, 2008 / No Comments » / by nastyrunner

I will be reviewing namepros.com. The site is a forum which relates to domaining. First of all, I have been a member of namepros since April 2008. Since then, I have been reading many articles about how people make money online and help each other in different ways regarding their site or any matter.

Good Points:

1) The members in namepros are very helpful. I have asked the most stupidest questions ever someone can ask, and still i have many replies by the members helping me out. They are very helpful and will try to help you to the maximum. Also, there is a special section for introducing the newbies. All I can say is, every newbie is given a warm welcome like a family member.

Hellboy II, The Golden Army

September 3rd, 2008 / No Comments » / by tina

So, went to see Hellboy 2 this last weekend. Seriously, when you go to see a movie like this, you know you are not going to be going to see some epic life changing film. You are most likely going to it because you want to be amused. You don’t expect the movie to be perfect, you know it won’t be, that’s ok.

I enjoy movies like this one, because they are so far fetched that they are just fun to watch. So what’s it about? Did you see the first Hellboy movie? If you didn’t…you should, good thing is that they give you a quicky reminder of who Hellboy is and how he came to live with the humans, etc. I’m not going to give anything away don’t worry….

The art of seduction

September 3rd, 2008 / No Comments » / by tina

One of the things I do for fun, and to mellow out is play poker online. There are a few things I’ve noticed while I’ve been playing. The biggest item I noticed is that well, there are some really fun people out there playing poker. There are also some not so fun folks playing, and then there are some who are just flat out jerks. I mean get real, it’s a virtual game!!
I’m not going to say that I’m a flirt, I’m friendly. There’s a difference, no really, there is. What gets me though is that most of the time I don’t have to do a dang thing and some guy is pouncing like a panther. I can be playing an innocent game of poker when all of a sudden I have some guy saying hi to me. Innocent enough right? Normally yes. Most people if you are nice enough to chat will ask where you are from, blah blah blah…. I am talkative..uh if you read the ‘About Us’ I warned you of that one right? Ok..so..I like talking and I have no problem telling someone where I’m from, and I love to find out where other folks are from too. What freaks me out….is when some guy asks you ohhhh…3 or 4 things and then all of a sudden is telling you that they love you!!! Seriously, I thought that women were the ones to pop that little phrase outta their mouths too fast…..not the guys. Had one guy recently tell me that he wanted to marry me…um…small problem dude….oh forget it…why bother to explain.

Mother, How You Love Me…

Mothers, how we love them, but sometimes, we just don’t understand them.

We all love our mothers (apart from the exceptions to this fact) because, well hey, lets face it, they kept us in their belly for 9 months and then took care of us before we could make our own decisions. But the down side? They don’t know when to stop taking care of us, and let us make our own decisions.

I am going to be writing about marketing as a subject which i am learning at university right now. Maybe it could be boring to read, but I promise I will try my level best to make it interesting.

Difference in Opinion

Maybe I’m nuts for wanting to write about this subject, but it’s something that I’ve been thinking about a lot lately. It’s amazing that I grew up not caring about the color of someones skin, or where they were born, or just what their families ethnic background was or for that matter what their religious beliefs were. I grew up hearing both of my grandfathers and my own father use very non-pc (politically correct) terms when referring to someone of another race. Fortunately, I grew up believing the opposite. Ironically, one of my grandfathers had a fair amount of Native American in him (apparently my blood is a bit diluted because I didn’t get that wonderful darker skin that he had, I find it disappointing by the way).

Just Keep Swimmin’ Swimmin’ Swimmin’

So, I was chatting away on my computer, and then I looked over at my fish tank cuz I could feel eyes burning holes in my back. I looked over to see my fish practically half out of the water, frantically moving around to try to get my attention, not once taking their freaky eyes off of me. This has happened several times, so I knew what they wanted. Food.

The Trick To Life…

August 9th, 2008 / 3 Comments » / by pookie

The trick to life is not to get too attached to it.

So, this is one of my favorite songs in the world. Its a song called The Trick to Life by a band called The Hoosiers. (Download it. You know you want to now)

Have you ever had one of those songs that you listen to and it just strikes a chord deep inside you? Somehow it feels like the song knows you better than you know yourself. Or that somehow this song picked up on something about you that you didn’t even realize and your suddenly faced with a moment when your eyes almost pop out of your head and you hear yourself say “oh my god, thats me. I do that!”

I’ve changed what I was going to say in this blog a few times, why I have no idea. Why does anyone change their mind…..because you feel like it that’s why!
